Information Technology Specialist

**Duties**:

- Oversees function tests of the hardware/software to resolve technical problems and ensures appropriate on-site repairs for the organizations.
- Works with technical support personnel in a various organizations resolving critical problems within the Tier II program and provides technical advise to users.
- Troubleshoots technical problems related to system access to internet functionality at the desktop level.
- Provides technical expertise on security aspects of network accreditation packages for networks developed within the area of operations and assists supported commanders with the RMF.
- Provides support for all shared computing equipment and devices attached to the network.

- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Duties of this position require the employee to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance based on a Tier 5 investigation, SSBI.
- The employee must maintain Stateside Driver's Licenses.
- The employee must obtain and maintain a U.S. Military License (TMP) in USAREUR.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel (10%) from the normal duty station.
- The employee must be 8570.1 compliant (IA Level II certification) within 6 months of occupying position.
- Lifting up to 25 pounds is required.
- This position is Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- The employee must be able to walk, as required, to organizations assisting in execution of Tier II responsibility.

- To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.
- ** Specialized experience would be demonstrated by resolving complex issues or tickets elevated from other technicians OR determining appropriate IT systems to support customer's business requirements; and providing training to IT Support personnel and/or end-users.**

The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
