**Main Component Exchange Specialist**:

- REQUISITION ID: 6549- LOCATION: Site, FI- DEPARTMENT: ServiceThe Main Component Exchange Specialist will in its roll be responsible to carry out as well as support all exchanges which are conducted in its area. By personally carrying out the exchanges the Main Component Exchange Specialist should ensure a safe and effective execution of the exchanges as well keeping the standardized exchange times. To ensure all necessary special tools are at hand for the main component exchanges the Main Component Exchange Specialist is responsible for the handling of such tools. Even building new tools or improving the existing once on a workshop level as well as development or improvement of exchange procedures is part of the position. In order to support our Gearbox Specialist colleagues as well as saving subcontractor costs gearbox as well as main bearing endoscopies will be part of this job.

**YOUR TASKS**
- **Carrying out and support of main component exchanges** - _Mainly but not limited to physical work in the turbine e.g. tightening of the gearbox shrink disc_
- **On site training for internal as well as external Technicians for main component exchanges** - _Mainly but not limited to physical work in the turbine e.g. in the turbine show a technician how to mount the gearbox oil pump after an gearbox exchange_
- **Main component exchange tools handling** - _Mainly but not limited to physical handling of tools in the workshop or container e.g. pack and prepare a gearbox exchange container which includes manual handling of the tools in the container_
- **Creating and practically testing tooling sets** - _Mainly but not limited to physical handling of tools in the workshop and work in the turbine e.g. welding of a new bracket for yaw gearbox exchanges in the workshop_
- **Supervising and execution of lifting operations** - _Mainly but not limited to physical work in the turbine e.g. attaching the lifting equipment to a new gearbox before lifting it into the nacelle_
- **Handling of unforeseen issues during main component exchanges**:

- _Mainly but not limited to physical work in the turbine e.g. removing a stuck brake disc shrink disc using and angular grinder_
- **Development, improvement and testing of exchange procedures** - _Mainly but not limited to physical work in the turbine e.g. during an exchange test to safe time using electrical torqueing tools instead of hydraulic once_
- **Ensuring availability and calibration/re-certification of tools**:

- _Mainly but not limited to physical handling of tools in the workshop or container e.g. re-certification of gearbox bridge by lifting it out of the container and perform load test_
- **Development, improvement and testing of special tools** - _Mainly but not limited to physical handling of tools in the workshop and work in the turbine e.g. join a first time exchange to see need for special tools and manufacture and test prototypes_
- **Ensuring safety and quality on site during main component exchanges** - _Mainly but not limited to physical handling of tools in the workshop and work in the turbine e.g. re-certify the lifting slings by physically checking them and place them in an exchange container_
- **Supporting main component exchange planner** - _Mainly but not limited to desktop tasks e.g. checking and confirming lifting plan for blade exchange_
- **Supporting acquisition of special tools**:

- _Mainly but not limited to desktop tasks e.g. source and test applicable tools_
- **Ensuring completeness of main component exchange reporting**:

- _Mainly but not limited to desktop tasks e.g. create a new exchange report template and test it on site during an exchange_
- **Creation of risk assessments and method statements for main component exchanges** - _Mainly but not limited to desktop tasks e.g. prepare RAMS for N100 gamma blade exchange_
- **Gearbox and Main Bearing Endoscopies -** _Mainly but not limited to physical work in the turbine e.g. performing gearbox and main bearing endoscopies on the turbine_

**Education and Qualifications**:

- Mechanical education or Preferably electrical education
- Wind turbine technician course
