**Role**:
The role of a Trade Lane Specialist is a critical enabler for the main pillars of the company strategy being Trade Lane and Healthcare sector growth. Acting across the functions of Procurement, Operations and Sales this role is a bridge between strategy and execution.

**Job Duties**:
**Supports Region Business Plan and Product Development**

- Assists in executing business plan to maximize network performance and capabilities.
- Assists in developing initiatives to offer competitive solutions, and support lane expansion initiatives to foster volume growth.
- Collaborates with region stakeholders to develop cross functional commitment that is supportive of business plan and product group targets.
- Assists in developing, modifying, and recommending new solutions and programs to generate growth and attract new business.

**Supports in Maintaining Product Strategies**

- Evaluates market conditions and trends to develop cost structures and determine appropriate sell margins.
- Gathers information on carriers to ensure viable recommendations are forwarded to Procurement for carrier selection.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and support of Trade Lane initiatives and target goals and ensure Region/Country management are in alignment with the strategy.
- Collaborate with Trade Lane counterparts for alignment and execution on mutual lane activities.
- Develop and execute measurable metrics for all initiatives.

**Monitors Regional Performance**

- Collaborate with operations on carrier capacity to align with service level commitments and to ensure freight is routed as solutioned
- Evaluate current catchment areas to improve density and develop operational expansion plans to optimize costs.
- Investigate root cause analysis for less than optimal performance and develop corrective action to ensure target goals are achieved.
- Develops lane data activity for existing customers to identify margin improvement opportunities.
- Examines key triggers and drivers of lane performance to develop comprehensive competitive strategies. Conducts Performance Reporting

**Measures Performance Reporting**

- Prepares monthly lane data to confirm ensure performance metrics and network optimization are achieved.
- Provides lane volume information to correct for “heavy reliance” customers and develops recommendations to implement strategies to balance.
- Analyze and report “day of the week” shipping characteristics for the gateways to determine opportunities to grow day specific, profitable tonnage.
- Executes updates to the routing guide to ensure transportation costs are minimized without impacting time in transit.

**Collaborates with Sales**

- Partners closely with Sales Team to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Provides trade lane expertise and market insights to support Sales strategies and customer solution design
- Actively participates in customer meetings and business reviews to promote trade lane capabilities and growth potential
- Supports Sales in pricing discussions, customer specific route optimization, capacity planning to ensure competitive and profitable offers

**We are looking for**:

- **Fluent Level of English**
- Strong knowledge of the freight forwarding dynamics
- Business acumen
- Customer facing and presentation skills are a must
