**Job Description Summary**: Job Description Summary As Airfoils Quality Leader you will assure that products/services are provided in compliance with a high level of quality that meets customer requirements and Airworthiness Regulation, ensuring conformity to all applicable requirements, acting as interface towards Customer and Partners for all aspects of Product Quality, in cooperation with all the Company functions. You will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and have direct responsibility for achieving results together with functions leaders. In this role you will deploy a new "Quality Mindset" focused on Lean, continuous improvement and the "zero defects" approach. You will be able to constantly tune yourself to business priorities, catching opportunities and anticipating problems. You will demonstrate accountability for Airfoils business, integrating and developing processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in short-term and long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy. **Essential Responsibilities**: - Lead product improvement projects and provide process method excellence throughout the organization, to drive Customer Satisfaction and enhance Business Productivity - Lead technical efforts in inventory control, manufacturing losses, and overall CoE costs - Provide technical leadership on problem identification and resolution - Select, hire, train, and provide ongoing leadership of assigned personnel to meet organizational goals - Manage quality KPI and report to the organization - Interface with design engineering, projects, assembly, and vendors to assure requirements are met on time and compliantly - Sponsor teamwork among QE, ME and Shop with special attention to deploy PFMEA and APQP - Maximize synergy among Over-inspection and Certification teams in managing escape prevention by moving upstream defect detection in the manufacturing process - Manage product audits carried out by Customers, Partners or Certification Agencies and coordinate improvement plans and corrective actions - Conduct and coordinate investigations of non-compliance detected and reported by Customer and Partners, ensuring timely corrective actions implementation **Qualifications/Requirements**: - Master’s degree in mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited University or college - Previous experience in product quality - Strong manufacturing and quality technical knowledge and skills - Fluent in English and Italian - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to effectively manage multiple projects - Strong team player - Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required - Only GE Avio Srl current employees are eligible **Desired Characteristics**: - Knowledge of machining /manufacturing and/or assembly and test processes - Strong oral and written communication skills - Strong interpersonal and leadership skills - Proven analytical abilities - Change oriented - actively generates process improvements; champions and drives change initiatives - Open mind to new perspectives or ideas.
