The GBU has unparalleled expertise in three technologies: aromatic polymers, high barrier polymers, fluoropolymers.

**Job Overview and Responsibilities**:
The Sustainability Project Manager - Circular Economy is part of the Materials GBU Sustainability Team and contributes to the implementation of the GBU sustainability strategy and the achievement of the GBU sustainability ambition, especially in the area of 'circular sales'.

Primary focus of the position is to manage projects for the development of circular loops for products in the Materials GBU. S/He determines the viability of these projects from a technical/commercial/sustainability standpoint by partnering with the appropriate groups inside and outside the organization (Materials GBU, greater SOLVAY, customers, technology developers, recycling companies, ) and is responsible for driving their execution, leveraging external funding when possible.

In addition to this, the position provides support to the Materials GBU frontline in their interactions with customers in the area of sustainability and adds value by contributing to the development of compelling sustainability stories on the GBU product portfolio, for example in the case of new product launches. Whenever appropriate S/He participates in customer meetings, contributes to prepare and presents material to support the discussion.

The Sustainability Project Manager - Circular Economy understands the value of environmental data and develops ways to translate it into an advantage for the GBU and in value for our customers. In this context S/He works in close contact with the C-R&I LCA team in order to generate environmental data to fulfill requests from customers in a timely manner and takes all the necessary steps to ensure that data are current and accurate and properly describe the current portfolio. The Sustainability Project Manager is also responsible for the preparation of declarations for customers regarding environmental footprint data, bio/recycled content, renewable energy and for completing CSR/ESG questionnaires in collaboration with other internal functions (Quality, HSE, RAPS,...).

**Education and Experience**:
Master Degree Minimum, preferably with a technical Orientation (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science). 5+ years experience in business management (strategy & marketing) and/or industrial/environmental function and/or quality.

Knowledge of Sustainability metrics and reporting would be a plus.

Work experience within GBU Materials would also be a plus.

**Skills**:

- Fluent in English. Can speak Italian and/or French. German would be a plus.
