**The Opportunity**
We are currently looking for a Graduate Intern in Facade Structural Engineering to join our team at Arup Italia in Milan. You will work as part of an international and multidisciplinary team, contributing to projects across Italy and Europe. This internship offers hands-on experience in the structural design of facades and an opportunity to develop broader facade engineering skills over time.
**As a Façade engineering Intern at Arup, you will**:
- Conduct structural analyses and simulations for materials like aluminium, steel, and glass.
- Assist in the preparation of drawings and sketches and contribute to specifications and technical reports.
- Support the review and checking of structural submissions from sub-contractors.
- Collaborate with other team members, understanding their needs and maintaining open communication throughout project development.
- Prepare and develop visual presentations, reports and other documents related to project deliverables.
**Does this role inspire you?**
We're looking for a graduate who is passionate about structural engineering and the design of sustainable facades. We also value:
- Recenty graduated with a degree in Civil or Building Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
- Proficient in structural analysis and 3D design software, such as Straus7, Mepla, Rhino and Grasshopper.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, precision and attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn, a collaborative mindset, and strong communication skills.
- Fluent in both English and Italian.
