High School diploma or equivalent and at least 18 years old
- Excellent attention to detail and work with the highest level of accuracy

- Used to operating at different levels in an Amazon Facility from warehouse floor to management level.
- Understanding of the processes in the Amazon Facility, Flexible approach to work, able to manage own priorities, workload in fast paced environment
- Technical understanding with regards to the waste management process

Our Sort Centre (SC) operations are at the heart of Amazon customer experience. Each action we undertake is done on behalf of our customers.

We are looking for a Waste Coordinator to join the team in LIN8 Sort Centre.

Key job responsibilities
- Characterization/determination of non-hazardous, regulated non-hazardous and hazardous waste (from both inventory and facilities operations) including proper storage and segregation, containerizing, labeling, waste logs, and preparing for shipment, in accordance with country specific waste regulatory requirements.
- Physical maintenance, housekeeping, and organization of the waste storage area and all safety equipment (eye wash, spill kit, fire extinguisher, etc.), in accordance with country specific regulatory requirements, Country specific Hazardous and non-Hazardous Waste Procedure and Amazon network policies.
- Log and containerize all regulated non-hazardous and hazardous wastes using WADM tool.
- Raising requests for additional containers, labels, and other supplies from waste vendor to ensure proper stock levels are maintained at the site.
- Engaging and communicating with Waste Vendor to trigger waste collection - sending accumulated logs, scheduling and coordinating waste pick-ups, and follow-up on paperwork for each consignment of waste.
- Maintaining and uploading all documents to Austin and WADM tool.
- Ensure all routine waste inspection records of the area and containers are maintained - raise issues with RME, WHS and Site Leadership Team.
- Liaison with WHS teams, PS team, and facilities teams responsible for the proper management of hazardous chemicals and generation of wastes.
- Support the EAP team in preparing monthly waste inventory and identifying the necessary waste transfer frequency to comply with accumulation requirements.
- Work with EAP, RME, WHS, Operations teams to set-up a Products Awaiting Determination Staging Area.
- Researching trends, inventory loss and cost reduction efforts, where applicable.
- Assist with incidental spill/leak/release clean-up activities.
- Previous lead experience would be beneficial - Technical understanding with regards to the waste management process.
- Flexible approach to work, able to manage own priorities, workload in fast paced environment
