Accountant

**_Who are we looking for?_**

As an Accountant, you will play a leading role in further professionalizing the administration and setting up a full-fledged finance and control function for our Italian organization. This role is a unique opportunity to grow together with our Italian organization and to be part of a great and ambitious team. One of your main responsibilities is to manage the process of invoicing our customers and make sure that the cash is collected. This requires close cooperation with other departments such like sales and operations and the capability to work in a structured way. The challenge for you lies in setting up processes that lead to a high quality and efficient administration, which gives you daily energy and gives you the opportunity to hand over operational activities to another colleague in a later stage.

Another priority is to gradually take over tax and compliance duties from our external service provider and make sure that all the local compliance matters are managed in the right way. Off course also the regular financial closing and reporting processes are an important responsibility. In the future we would like you to become the financial right-hand and sparring partner of the management and also operate as a business controller for the Italian organization.

**_ What will you do as an Accountant?_**

A small selection of your responsibilities will be:

- Manage the invoicing and collection process.
- Month-end closing and reporting to the Group.
- Manage compliance with tax regulations (VAT, corporate income tax & payroll tax).
- Initiate process optimization.
- Provide (financial) information to the local management.

Your workplace will be in Milano, and you will work within the Italian team. You will report to the Group Finance Director who is in charge of the centrally organized finance organization.
- Higher professional education - Bachelor level minimum
- A completed education in a relevant field (Corporate finance or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Italian tax and financial reporting requirements.
- Solid knowledge and experience with SAP is a strong plus
- Experience in a medium-sized and growing organization is a plus
- Experience in chartered accountant office is a plus
- Excellent command of Italian, and a good command of English is required.
