Logistics Buyer - Intern
The Challenge

What you will do
As Logistics Buyer Intern you will have the opportunity to get a 360° overview by managing an end-to-end process. You will become accountable and manage autonomously your daily workload in a highly dynamic and agile work environment.
There is no Typical Day in the life of a Logistics Buyer Intern, anyway you will support in managing procurement activities for below commodities at Global level:
primary transportation (Sea, Road, 4PL, 3PL, custom broker, inland hauliers, etc.), secondary transportation (warehousing&
Distribution), express shipment, logistic solutions.
**You will face every day with several activities such as**:
- New suppliers Benchmarking with the aim to improve the supply base;
- Cooperation with the different logistic department of the European branches to collect business requirements, contract/offer evaluation related to dedicated projects;
- Creation/revision of tender documents (RFI, RFQ, etc.);
- Standardizationof logistic/purchasing procedures and contract of different branches of the group;
- Purchasing analyis;
- Economics evaluation and awarding with the aim to optimize economics and service;
- Negotiation of commercial agreements:
SLA/KPI’s, economics, payment terms deliverables, duration, penalties;
- Interacting with finance, legal to revise contracts and tender docs;
- Reporting;
- Collecting feedback from different stakeholders (central logistic, subsidiaries etc.) about the supplier performance and putting in place escalation action to improve performance
What you need to succeed
- Master Degree in Engineering/Management
- Good knowledge of English, fluent in Italian;
- Office (good knowledge;
Excellent Excel), MS Windows, Microsoft (Good knowledge)
- Strong interest in logistic, transportation and procurement
- Strong analytical skills and sharp attention to details
- analytic approach, resourcefulness, proactivity, good relationship skills, teamworking and target oriented.
