ABB is a worldwide company and leader in the field of the transmission and distribution of electricity, process and production automation as well as electrical, electronic and installation engineering products and systems. ABB is market leader in fast charging solutions which enable 10-30min charging time for electric cars and busses, a game changing technology which allows mass adaption of clean transportation. In this highly technological and rising market, we are developing and supplying these Electrical Vehicle Charger Infrastructure across the globe. Based in our current location in Terranuova Bracciolini (AR) Italy and from mid of 2020 we are looking for a R&D Project Manager.

R&D Local Unit Lead

**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage complex projects and coordinate work of multi-location and cross-functional project team/s. Motivate and monitor internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.
- Manage the cost, schedule and performance objectives of the projects and its work packages within a global organization. Manage interdependencies between cross-functional workstreams in order to realize specified deliverables and benefits. Ensure appropriate requirements within the projects by partnering with relevant business unit/s or other customers.
- Ensure understanding of customer value in the projects and act to ensure customer satisfaction and manage expectations. Take into consideration requirements and demands coming from customers and from internally within ABB.
- Ensure transparency around change requests, unforeseen results/events and identified risks and ensure that they are properly managed and communicated. Ensure that all opportunities are captured and acted upon.
- Develop products in according to the ABB gate model from the concept to the release for sales. Work closely with product manager department providing the best solution to fulfil the business case.
- Ensure that all the activities setup with the Operation are complete before the start of production, from material procurement to production planning ensuring the delivery on time to the final customer.

**Your background**:

- A Master degree or similar with a solid technical background (electrical engineering, mechatronics, electronics, power systems or other) that fits to our a R&D organization.
- Demonstrated project management skills, typically 2-5 years. Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
- A proven working experience as Project Engineer with a good feeling for software, understand Power electronics, solid mechanical and electrical understanding particularly with a strong experience in electrical metering system (MID, PTB..) and products development.
- Fluent in English, preferably also with knowledge of Italian.. Willing to travel and on hands mentality.
- Able to work in multi-disciplinary teams, clear verbal communicator remotely or face to face with all your peers and management.
- Start-up mindset located in a strong and big worldwide company: agility as capacity to change direction fast.
