**About the Position**
We are seeking a dedicated **Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)** to join our team supporting the Guardian Angel Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) Program. This role focuses on enhancing the readiness and physical performance of AFSPECWAR Operators, contributing to their mission success while promoting long-term operational effectiveness.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Program Design and Implementation**:

- Develop individualized exercise programs for operators to ensure rapid recovery from injuries and maintain optimal physical performance.
- Implement functional movement fitness routines tailored to energy system development, strength, and power training.
- Design and monitor physical training programs for deployed or temporarily reassigned personnel.
- **Performance Monitoring**:

- Conduct monthly evaluations of functional movement and quarterly performance testing, including fitness assessments.
- Track and report physical readiness levels and analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- **Instruction and Support**:

- Guide operators on injury prevention and conditioning techniques.
- Coordinate with medical staff and refer operators for medical evaluations when necessary.
- **Operational Coordination**:

- Maintain a safe and efficient environment, including managing equipment and facility standards.
- Participate in planning and evaluation meetings, providing input on training and rehabilitation programs.
- Assist in managing supplies and inventory for physical conditioning needs.
- **Data Management**:

- Collect, analyze, and disseminate data related to strength and conditioning programs.
- Archive information for trend analysis and historical reference.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- **Education**:

- Master’s degree or higher in exercise science, health science, or a related discipline.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of five years working with elite athletes or tactical professionals (e.g., collegiate, Olympic, professional, or military populations).
- Proven ability to develop and execute performance programs with measurable results.
- **Certifications**:

- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association or equivalent.
- Must demonstrate physical proficiency to model prescribed exercises and techniques.
- **Skills**:

- Expertise in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and functional movement screening.
- Familiarity with military operational environments, scheduling, and deployment cycles.
- Strong analytical skills for data collection and performance trend analysis.

**Other Requirements**
- Ability to lift and manipulate loads up to 25 kilograms.
- Willingness to hike over rough terrain and operate in austere environments.
- Security clearance or background investigation (to be arranged upon hiring).
- Must be eligible for logístical support under the U.S.Italy Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA).
