**Job Summary**:
He/she plans and organize all the painting related shop floor activities, making sure that they are executed in a cost-effective way and completed by the timing needed by the production assembly lines. He/she works with external suppliers to ensure customer requirements are met and promptly manage any bill of materials modifications requested by Technical Dept. He/she mainly collaborates with Painting Supervisor and other Production departments in general, as well as the rest of Planning team. He/she supports process improvements in a Lean perspective.
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare the daily schedule of painting activities based on production assembly planning, including special paintings required by customer specifications; also ensure to give feedbacks to Production Planners and Master Scheduler.
- Properly maintain ERP system (changes of dates, change of painting production orders, re-work routings, etc).
- Manage painting external suppliers on a daily basis, issue relevant orders and make sure that delivery dates are met.
- Manage bill of material modification requests and track execution of re-works accordingly, by collaborating with Technical/Production departments.
- Review exception messages in the system.
- Work along with Machining and Welding departments to ensure that painting schedule is met.
- Provide guidance and support for shortages and perform work orders prioritization.
- Level loads of painting production orders in line with production plans.
- Daily attends GEMBA walks with shopfloor management to support the resolution of issues and to relay additional information as requested from manufacturing, warehouse, receiving, shipping, quality, engineering.
- Calculate KPIs and prepare reports.
**Job requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proven knowledge of production planning activities
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of SAP MM/PP
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel is mandatory
Fluent English is preferred.
