As a Shop Plant Operator, you will play a key role in performing the daily operations of testing cells to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. You will take ownership for ensuring the safe production of our finished products.

As a Shop Plant Operator, you will be responsible for:

- Assisting the maintenance plant production by making repairs within scope of expertise.
- Following through work orders following various safe work procedures.
- Making mechanical repairs on plant equipment and performs preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis.
- Identifying equipment malfunctions and repair before catastrophic failure. Developing expertise in a specialized skill.
- Operating medium sized heavy equipment (e.g. Bobcat, manlift, forklift, trencher, etc.).
- Working outdoors year round in all types of weather conditions. Becomes aware of all safety hazards and follow all safety policies and procedures. Maintaining department records.
- Giving general consultative supervision, toward predetermined goals and objectives.
- Interacting with peers, supervisor, and internal / external customers
- Working on special projects with peers from other work groups
- Reading and interpreting routine instructions
- Using drilling experience plus product knowledge to maximize equipment performance
- Performing basic mathematical calculations
- Setting up, monitoring and operating various pieces of equipment associated with the manufacturing facility requirements
- Operating multiple machines simultaneously
- Performing quality assurance activities as required by manufacturing/engineering specifications and ISO requirements

- Be able to demonstrate extensive experience in a similar role
- Have flexibility to operate in a fast paced environment with stringent deadlines.
- Have significant experience in Turbo-machinery component manufacturing or its repair and overhaul.
- Be a positive team player and show the ability to adapt in an ever-changing, dynamic environment
- Be a team player and display good communication skills, with fluency in English
- Demonstrate effective problem identification and solution skills
- Have the capability to read and interpret technical documentation, such as schematics, diagrams, and sectional drawings, etc
