**Job Description Summary**:
**Essential Responsibilities**:
Within the Avio Aero’s Supply Chain team and directly reporting to the Commodity Leader, the Casting lead buyer will:

- Manage the sourcing process, from evaluation of requestor’s requirements to Purchase Order (PO) placement
- Understand the Castings Commodity needs based on the Growth PlayBook (GPB) and define SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) matrix in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing team
- Manage Supplier with the aim to strength relationship with strategic suppliers and create action plan for critical suppliers, in collaboration with strategic team
- Perform spent analysis for the Castings Castings commodity and with reference to the Budget and GPB goals (including deflation, costout, days to pay)- Negotiate PO and purchase contracts, following applicable company and government regulations
- Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects
- Build a strong relationship with GE Aviation Sourcing Team to collaborate and share opportunities
- Work in collaboration with Supplier Quality Teams and Procurement team to meet established goal of On Time Delivery (OTD), span, delinquency and vendor recovery

In doing so, it will be mandatory for you to maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with supply base and internal customers.

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills, with sound judgment and a diplomatic attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Ability to handle several activities simultaneously, manage multiple priorities and resolve appropriately
- Professional working knowledge of SAP MRP software system
- Proficient in MS Office (e.g. Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Highly motivated team member
- Proactivity, Customer orientation, initiative, autonomy
- Fluent in Italian and English
- EU work permit

**Desired characteristics**:

- Knowledge of current market conditions and sources of supply
- Knowledge of investment castings processes and tooling management
- Previous experience in sourcing organization
- Negotiation skills
- Positive working attitude and proven understanding of how to be an effective service provider within an organization
- Effective problem identification and solution skill
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
