**The Role: Finance Manager Italy**

We are seeking a talented and motivated Finance Manager to join our expanding Italian Finance team. As part of our highly acquisitive Group, this newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of our Finance hub in Italy. As the Finance Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Italy CFO and Finance colleagues to lead management accounts and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to the Group Finance function in the UK. In addition, you will play a crucial role in building and integrating businesses into our Hub finance area, while driving the quality and consistency of management information and supporting integration activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the production of high-quality monthly management information for the Italian business, adhering to the WD timetable and reporting to PIB Group.
- Collaborate with the CFO to provide insightful commentary and business review information on performance.
- Liaise with the Group Management Accountant and Group FP&A teams to fulfill data requests and provide necessary information.
- Support the business in budgeting and re-forecasting activities as required.
- Innovate and enhance internal processes related to financial reporting across Italy, ensuring alignment with Group policy and process.
- Maintain a high-quality audit trail and records to support the financial accounts of Italian entities.
- Work with external and internal audit teams regarding account production and the control environment.
- Support the growth of the central Italian Finance team through recruitment and team development.
- Aid the integration of future acquisitions into the General ledger framework, including mapping and aligning with agreed Group accounting policies.

**Professional Background, Expertise, and Capabilities**:

- Qualified Finance professional.
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced centralised finance function as part of a wider Group.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver monthly financial information accurately and efficiently.
- Experience in managing and building Finance teams.
- Finance experience within a complex group, preferably in the financial services sector.
- Proficiency in operating across multiple financial service/group requirements.
- Strong understanding of general ledger systems and mapping of accounts to Group trial balance.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
- Fluent in English and able to collaborate with the Group Finance function.
- Skilled in data manipulation from multiple sources.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience in process engineering and improvement (desirable).
- Positive, collaborative, and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
