**PURPOSE**

Guarantee materials procurement in compliance with the quantities, timing and inventory levels defined

**PRIMARY / DIRECT RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Material Planner for main critical vendor building vendor connection to obtaining the best possible performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, MOQ, quality, lead-time, and flexibility
- Identify strategic vendor area to lead define and realize VMI, SOMI, Stock agreement and consignment stock contracts.
- be the owner of all inventory reduction activities defining yearly, quarterly and monthly Inventory glide path through ABCXYZ analysis with specific tool
- Calculate and maintain in the planning systems and the MRP: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time, and replenishment strategies.
- Support and develop Lean pull tools among supply chain to create continuous flow material from vendor to production.
- Manage MRP (Materials Resource Planning) exception messages on a daily basis; support cycle counting and/or year-end inventory counting.
- Analyse excess and obsolete/aging inventory; take appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance, in collaboration with sales, manufacturing and engineering
- Dial with custom import/export custom procedure for goods coming from extra EU.

**DELIVERABLES**

Key player on achieving inventory target building strategy and ensure adequate replenishment of inventory through purchase orders.

Be supportive and part of cross-functional initiatives for optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead-time, and forecast accuracy. You will report to the Operations Manager.

**QUALIFICATION**
- Master Degree in Management Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of experience in the role (or similar)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular on Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of SAP and data analysis tools
- Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken
