Testing Coordinator

Introduction
Orthofix International stemmed from the work of orthopedic researcher Giovanni De Bastiani of the University of Verona in Italy. Toward the end of the 1970s, Bastiani proposed the concept of “dynamization”, based on the natural ability of bone to repair itself. He developed a modular system of external axial frame devices that could be fitted to a bone, allowing micromovement at the fracture site to stimulate bone healing. Orthofix is willing to insource Testing competencies to enable the Digital Transformation of the Orthofix products, as an integral part of the Orthofix R&D core capabilities.

In this context, we are looking for a person to insert as Testing Coordinator to join our R&D Software and Electronics Development department based in Bussolengo (VR).

The person will report directly to the R&D Software & Electronic Development Manager and will work in a team of other four members and multiple external partners.

Position summary

Position description
In this position, you are responsible for structuring and overseeing the development of the testing for software solutions (web based, mobile, embedded) and electronics solutions, according with your competences.
Team management
- Coordinate the Electronics and Firmware development, and testing teams, assuring that solution architecture, technologies, and measurements methods are understood and applied correctly and requirement specifications are developed and tested as expected

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the Test planning and development of appropriate testing protocols and tools
- Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures-protocols and test suites
- Devise the test objectives, organizational test policies, test strategies and test plans
- Coordinate with other members of the testing team, including test designers and test developers within the logic of Continuos Testing
- Ensure proper configuration management of the testware produced and traceability of the tests to the test basis
- Recognize when test automation is appropriate and, if it is, plan the effort, select the tools, and ensure training of the team
- Report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions
- Accountable to resolve problems that may occur during testing procedures
- Write summary reports on test status

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Technical skills
- You are an expert in software (web, mobile, embedded) testing design, execution and report
- You are knowledgeable for electronics testing execution and report
- TestComplete test suite knowledge is a plus
- Xamarin Test Cloud test suite knowledge is a plus
- You are knowledgeable of Gherkin language for test cases preparation and review

- Fluent English knowledge and other languages would be appreciated
- Previous working experience in a regulated device industry or in a structured Company are considered a plus
- Motivation/passion to develop Medical Devices is a plus
- Knowledge of Agile - Scrum is a plus
