- We have operational headquarters in London, UK, and provide customer-focused services from regional centres in Harlow, UK; Marl, Germany; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and Beachwood, Ohio, USA.
- Purpose of the Job:

- This position will manage and co-ordinate the entire sales and marketing process for selected Global Key Accounts within the Functional Solutions Business Unit. A key responsibility is the delivery of volume, gross margin and credit management targets in these accounts. As well as the management of the relationship as Synthomer’s primary contact creating credibility and building strong lasting client relationships.
- Main Accountabilities:
- Manage the Global Key Accounts within the Functional Solutions business unit worldwide in-line and Regional Sales-
- Co-ordination and consultation with regional centres and other SBUs on a global basis to ensure a common corporate approach towards Global Key Accounts-
- Implement a Global Key Account sales plan in-line with Business Unit Strategies and delivery against the plan (volume, price, gross margin and unit gross margin)-
- Negotiate prices and quotations incl. rebates within corporate guidelines and deliver against targets-
- Set payments terms and conditions in-line with credit management targets and deliver against set targets-
- Responsible for all key account contractual affairs supported by Synthomer legal departments-
- Ensure cross functional activity on all of the accounts-
- Liaison with Customer Service & Logistics to ensure that targeted service standards are achieved and maintained-
- Ensure that growth projects are fully collaborative with Synthomer being viewed as a trusted partner and ideally achieve a Key Supplier Status-
- Issue regular reporting on the area of responsibilities and measures achievements against set targets-
- Provide feedback to the business unit leadership team on market trends, customer developments and competitor activity/supplies worldwide-
- Manage the monthly forecast together with Regional Managers to ensure that an accurate sales forecast exists-
- Contribute to the annual budgeting procedure-
- Ensure active Pipeline Management and update on a monthly basis- Skills and experience:
- Educated to a Degree level-
- Significant experience in a sales leadership position, including key account management activities-
- Previous Marketing of Speciality Chemical products essential-
- Experience in Textile would be beneficial and in water based Polymers Industry preferred-
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in building relationships at all levels of the organisation-
- Professional gravitas, assertive and confident with a high level of personal and professional credibility, presenting to senior level stakeholders-
- Strong cultural awareness, adaptability and confidence to operate across geographic regions- English:_
