**What you will do in your role**:

- Create value for customers and Genesis while modeling the company’s Guiding Principles: Integrity, Stewardship & Compliance, Principled Entrepreneurship®, Transformation, Knowledge, Humility, Respect, and Self Actualization
- Support the development and implementation of a multi-year Applications Engineering capabilities development plan to establish best-in-class capability
- Partner with Product Development and R&D teams to investigate and pursue new technology and product families based on intimate knowledge of industry trends and future needs
- Work with Product Management to ensure GRMT’s technology roadmap is addressing the Voice of the Customer and their present and future needs
- Demonstrate expediency and expertise in supporting customer needs during the Customer Evaluation Unit evaluation process
- Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical audience globally
- Contribute to long-term technology and market growth strategies
- Contribute to proposal and presentation development to support customer meetings
- Attend trade shows and other industry events

**Requirements**:

- Experience in motion control, robotics, or industrial automation
- Experience with servo motors, servo drives, encoders, and motion controllers
- Experience in a technical or people leadership capacity
- Travel to attend trade shows and other industry events, including international travel; up to 25% of the time
