The Planning Analyst will support our Sales team with a strategic approach to analyze our retail partner’s productivity, detect new business opportunities, and ensure financial growth and profitable sales. You are responsible for analyzing historical trends to influence pre-season plans while simultaneously hitting in-season financial sales, margin, and inventory targets. This role is customer facing and will require travel to our retail partners.

**Detailed Responsibilities**:
- Responsible to visit designated customers for business development and ensure proper relationship building in conjunction with Sales Management
- Publish weekly action driven POS/Inventory/Sales trend reports for designated customers and internal management
- Lead bi-weekly meetings with account replenishment teams to ensure alignment on agreed upon KPI’s
- Conduct meetings with cross functional teams in inventory planning, customer service, sales and other departments on an as needed basis
- Drive financial results that maximize sales, inventory and bottom-line profitability. Manage the financial success of various departments by meeting sales and inventory turn goals
- Create and maintain demand plan ensuring proactive alignment with POS and economic trends in collaboration with the customer and internal departments
- Create annual business plans that ensure reconciliation to retailer OTB/receipt plans as well as top-down to bottom-up department plans
- Work in conjunction with the Business Intelligence Department and Sales Department to develop and utilize analytical tools to aid in product/category recommendations, POS analysis and monthly forecast/demand
- Implement/Facilitate SIOP process internally as it relates to designated National Accounts
- Other duties as assigned
**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally with focus in business, finance, or marketing
- 3+ years of experience in account management and/or sales/marketing in applicable industry
**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
- Proven knowledge and utilization of retail metric terminology
- Advanced user of Power BI highly strongly desirable
- Proven relationship building/sales abilities and a willingness to work within a team environment
- Confident relationship building/sales abilities and a willingness to work within a team environment
- Highly organized, motivated and task oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced computer user skills required; most importantly Excel (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Analytical personality
- Entrepreneurial mentality and eagerness to grow within the company
- Ability and willingness to travel including overnight stays via car, plane and train
- Ability to work well under pressure and able to work cross functionally with all levels in the organization
**LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY**:
- Interact independently with internal and external parties, has the knowledge to make independent decisions
**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- This position does not supervise employees.
