Pfizer is hiring a Medical Affair Enablement Specialist (MAES), Medical Projects in the Rare Disease (RD) Medical Affairs Department for a 12 month temporary position.

The MAES, Medical Projects will report to the Italy RD Medical Director.

- The Medical Affairs Enablement Specialist (MAES) - Medical Projects is a
- manager and expert in Medical Affairs (MA)-relevant processes as well as MA project planning and execution supporting country medical functions with respective expert knowledge, expertise and advice in accordance with all relevant global/ local policies, local legal frameworks, and Pfizer tools.
- Primary Responsibilities
- Medical project/process consultancy:
- Serve as Point-of-Contact (PoC) for all local RD medical functions/ roles to support in regard to MA-relevant processes, systems and tools as well as planning and execution of MA-owned projects.-
- Provide project/ process guidance and support to MA colleagues with respect to globally and locally relevant (medical) compliance/ legal/ shared services frameworks as well as utilizing established xBU best practices from MA Italy- Process improvement:
- Serve as RD expert for MA projects/ processes proactively coordinating and improving established processes and cross-functional interactions with, in particular, medical compliance, legal, shared services and relevant above country hubs/ centers where relevant for MA. Establish and maintain platforms for synchronous/ asynchronous exchange and alignment within MA Italy and/or cross-functionally-
- Serve as MA-PoC within MQG and for other internal stakeholders (e.g., commercial, data privacy, legal, compliance, Pfizer Digital, PhV, Procurement) where development of new or improvement of established processes is intended. Serve as owner or lead of such roll-out/improvement workstreams, where feasible.- Process/ project education:
- Ensure onboarding of new MA colleagues as well as continuous training of established MA colleagues in terms of MA-relevant processes, tools and policies.-
- Collect best practices and instructive examples regarding MA processes across BUs and disseminate within RD MA Italy.- Medical project/ processes include, e.g. (not exhaustive), advisory boards, HCP/HCO service agreements, symposia/ meetings/ congresses, digital educational initiatives, independent medical grants(general research, independent medical education, quality improvement, “Request for Proposals (RFPs)”; not ISRs+RCs), Pfizer-sponsored research, publication projects, charitable donations/ sponsorings, centralized MA information management/ deposition/ dissemination_
- What You Offer- Experienced colleague on manager level; 3y+ experience in process and project management in big pharma with a proven track record in successful execution and management of complex processes and projects in matrix structures; experience in Medical Affairs and/or Pfizer strongly preferred- University degree- Strong analytical and systematic skills with a process-oriented mindset; a problem solver focused to deliver results and continuously improve processes and structures- Strong coordination, assertiveness, and organizational skills in a matrix organization- Fluency in Italian and good English skills- Adherence to Pfizer Values: Courage, Excellence, Equity and Joy.
