**What you’ll do**:
- Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Manage, support, maintain and control the build of the global network site infrastructure and projects within the assigned geography, as well being responsible for the Vodafone Cable station in Italy, supervising submarine activities and manage locally the cable station staff under the Cables station and Delivery team guidance. Manage the station staff (with the support of Submarine teams) in case of a submarine incident supporting the Submarine teams locally to ensure the repair is done in time and ensuring que quality of the repair.
- Support submarine teams for local Awareness and Protection for the submarine cables.
- Produce regular accurate and truthful status updates on deployment progress.
- Exception reports as required if tolerance levels are being exceeded. Produce Lessons Learned & Closure reports. Ensure the cable
- Station staff pruduce the station reports ensuring the quality of them as required by the consortiums.
- Resource Management and H&S responsbilities - maintain relationship with VOIS & TCTS deployment specialists.
- Manage and control any changes to the deployment scope, including change management, using standard method and process.
**Who you are**:
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Strong Fixed Network build capabilities including Transmission; Internet & MSP
- Minimum 5 years experience in telecommunications field or Network operations environment demonstrating a strong background in transmission and data platform builds; with a clear understanding of the technologies used within Vodafone
- Proven ability to investigate problem situations, consider key perspectives, analyse needs, evaluate options and define user requirements.
- Capable of working in virtual teams in cross cultural working environment and at times of heavier workload to drive solutions
- Strong team player with proven record of achieving goals set.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- HNC or above in Engineering or Relevant technical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years hands on core network infrastructure build experience.
- Minimum of 2 years project & programme management experience
