**Program Financial Analyst**
Peraton is currently seeking talented mid-level Program Financial Analyst to become part of Peraton’s US Army Africa Mission Support program, which works to serve and protect US Army forces operating and training in Africa.
**Location**: This position will be located in Vicenza, Italy.
The Program Financial Analyst provides financial accounting, disbursing and budgeting support for government funds. In this role, you will support the financial process for a Department of Defense agency serving and protecting US Army personnel operating in austere and challenging locations.
**What you’ll do**:
The Program Financial Analyst will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Provides administrative support for personnel involved with funds management and accounting, budget cost analysis, execution of command operation budget, policy, plans, budget management and tracking.
- Provides support and counsel in the review and analysis process within the resource management office.
- Administratively assists in the proper allocation and effective use of funds; reviews and actions Unpaid Obligation Reports in Defense Travel System (DTS) and Government Purchase Card (GPC).
- Utilizes analytical tools and complex automated budget/accounting systems to provide real-time data to the G8 Directorate and Regional Management Officer.
- Monitors database systems to report commitments, obligations, and subsequent reconciliations are completed according to established regulations.
- Researches and deobligates undisbursed obligations in Global Combat Support System (GCSS).
- Provides administrative and technical support to the management of the DTS (Defense Travel System) Program and function.
- Utilize GFEBs (General Fund Enterprise Business System) to track and account for the status of obligations and expenditures.
- Prepares presentations, reports and briefings for leadership on the progress and status of undispersed obligations.
Qualifications:
**Basic Qualifications**:
- BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2.
- BA/BS degree in accounting, financial management, data analytics, information management.
- One year recent experience with GFEBS and DTS.
- Experience with financial modifications, invoicing, and reconciliation.
- Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Masters degree in accounting, financial management, data analytics, information management.
- 8 years of experience in US Army accounting and financial management.
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
- US Army 36B NCO (SGT - SFC) or
- US Army Junior Finance Officer (LT - CPT)
