Knowledge Management Specialist

**Duties**:

- Serves as the 509th Signal Battalion/ Regional Network Enterprise Center South Miscellaneous Administration and Programs expert specializing in a broad range of Knowledge Management duties.
- Responsible for content management for knowledge-based systems supporting the Regional Network Enterprise Center (RNEC) South.
- Promotes knowledge sharing through the organization’s operational business processes and systems by strengthening links between knowledge sharing and the information system.
- Responsible for tracking metrics and trends, and analysis of activities surrounding the input, processing, and output of data from the various computer programs or systems.
- Represents RNEC leadership at various meetings and on working groups and implements knowledge sharing initiatives.
- Assists leadership in driving organization in desired direction, fosters cultural change, provides recommendations/options to institutionalize Knowledge Management.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by: Managing digital and paper publications pertaining to knowledge communication, tools, and training materials; Ensuring the appropriate personnel are trained and oriented on using agency practices, techniques, and technology tools; Developing and supporting compliance of policy, processes, and guidance to govern and institutionalize knowledge management practices and initiatives.

- Selectees may receive certain foreign area benefits such as: Living Quarters Allowance (LQA) or government quarters, home leave, etc. Selectees will have their eligibility for foreign area benefits determined at the time of hire in accordance with Department of State Standardized Regulation (DSSR) and DoDI 1400.25 volume 1250.
- If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.
- If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for EIS will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS.
