Market risk analysts ensure that trading &portfolio activities are in line with the GEMS Risk Policy and the limit framework as approved by the respective committees (Board, Risk Committee etc...) and support the business in risk management decision. The scope is both regulated trading and non-regulated (means ABT & PTF) in Italy. **Role** Furthermore, Market Risk Analysts are in charge of the following missions: - Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quantitative and qualitative market risk reports including VaR, options analysis and stress testing. Take ownership of some analytical and reporting tasks: - Be supportive in identifying possible breaches in limits, VAR and other metrics - Implement new tool for improving the monitoring process - automating heavy excel based tasks/deliverables - Analyze the risk of the desk portfolio across commodities and products. Support risk identification and quantification for both retail and wholesale energy businesses: - identifying the main risk associated to our core and new business - understanding assets’ representation in Meteor/OT (deal type and greeks) - Monitor, approve and challenge FO hedging strategies - Prepare analysis as directed by manager, generally contribute to the activities of Market Risk for Italian Desk - Interact regularly with commercial functions to understand open exposures and assess risk/reward balance: - Ad-hoc meeting with FO in order to understand hedging strategies related to core business - Provide support for risk systems development and testing and promote efficiencies where possible: - Improving Digitalization - Work across functional teams to maintain a robust control environment and manage business process change: - Organize workshop with internal SPOC to understand business changes - Secure the front to back chain - Boost the networking with Market risk team in Paris and Bxl All the activities are fully integrated within Europe. All processes are defined globally and enforced locally. **About YOU**: **Hard skills** - Languages: English Oral/Written Fluent, Italian is a plus. - Skills in quantitative analysis to conduct statistical analyses ; use of Excel Phyton and VBA programming; knowledge of “R”. - Knowledge of main market risk methodologies for calculate physical and financial exposures/risk/mark-to-market/P&L/VaR in financial markets. **Soft skills** - Curious - Sens of initiative - Good communication - Team spirit - Autonomous **Education and professional background**- Master degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance or Statistic.**About ENGIE**: Our group is a global reference in low-carbon energy and services.
