**The Role**

At Matrix Renewables we are looking for a highly motivated individual to play a role in our Operations Team. Based in Italy, the Project Manager must be familiar with all aspects of the design, construction, and commissioning of renewable energy projects (“projects”).

**Key activities and responsibilities**:

- Assist Matrix in tracking construction status of projects in its Italian pipeline and updating project documentation in our system with the help of third parties.
- Participating in process on equipment definition and plant design. Continuous updating of state-of-the-art technology and prices.
- Working with EPC Manager to obtain EPC, BOS, Studies, Equipment Procurement and Owner Engineers proposals and support in the technical negotiation of contracts.
- Overseeing all third-party contract execution: EPC, BoS, Equipment Procurement and technical advisors (including prospective project technical due diligence)
- Monitoring construction projects schedule, main construction events and cost and ensuring compliance with Quality Management Plan for the projects
- Support to Develop and Finance Team to fulfill technical requirements during finance project process.
- Overseeing site assessments or environmental studies for projects and H&S issues.
- Management of relationships with landlords and tenants
- Management of community and public relations in respect of the Project
- Implement H&S Policy and site H&S Management Plan which complies with H&S laws, regulations, and best industry practice
- Implement ESG Company policy at local level in compliance with modern standards, regulations, and best industry practice. Flag to HQ any ESG issues as soon as possible, gather information related to them and where instructed interact with stakeholders if appropriate

**General Skills / Attributes**:

- At least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally with a recordable track record of Renewable Energy portfolio
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Full understanding of the design and construction process for renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of renewable energy plants design, main equipment manufacturers and construction.
- Experience with dealing with contracts along with proven ability to liaise with and manage/monitor contractors
- Experience with dealing with technical authorities in Italy, utilities, Grid operator, off takers.
- Solid communication skills: capability to establish technical discussions in different cultural environments
- Fluent in English and Italian
