**The Role**:
Horizen Labs business is growing rapidly worldwide and the complexity of the financial and accounting functions is expanding fast, making our international Finance team key to the company's growth. This is why we're looking for a Financial Controller to join the Italian branch and to be the point of reference for the Finance Operations locally.

You will have an opportunity to build your area of action and lead the overall strategy of Finance in the Italian entity. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in multiple global locations and with external partners supporting our business.

**What You'll Own**:

- Liaise with the the Head of Finance based in the US and with the local People team in building the appropriate finance and accounting structure to support the running of the Italian entity;
- Guide our external Advisor in the execution of local activities;
- Manage transactions and invoicing with suppliers, third party vendors, partners;
- Accurate booking of all expenses and accounting documents into the accounting system. Keep detailed track of and control revenues, costs, and cash flow;
- Analyze trends and financial performances, and perform ad-hoc budget forecasting to inform management and support business decisions;
- Closely monitor the latest tax and accounting law updates to grasp their possible impact on the company, guaranteeing our tax compliance is always on point and we can optimize resources accordingly.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor / Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
- Up to 5 years of experience in Planning & Controlling functions;
- Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals and budget operations;
- Knowledge of G Suite;
- Experience with the Quickbooks system is considered a plus;
- Strong organizational skills and a pragmatic approach, keeps deadlines in mind and is able to work autonomously.
