We are looking for a R&D Mechanical Design Trainee who will join Marelli Motorsport R&D Fuel Systems Team in Bologna site as 6 months internship.
The Motorsport Organization is dedicated to development, production and selling of products, systems and services for Automotive Motorsport industry (2 and 4 wheels); our main customers are Teams from most important championships like F-1, MotoGP, F-E, Moto2, WEC, TCR
The R&D Mechanical Design Trainee will focus on supporting the design and optimization of engineering solutions for different fuel system components. The R&D Mechanical Design Trainee will work in close relation with CAE, Process and Testing engineers to implement solutions that are efficient, practical and cost effective. The individual will support Senior Designer in the definition of the design characteristics in term of dimension, material and manufacturing technology.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
- 3D and 2D modelling of precision mechanics components & toolings;
- Tolerance chain analysis and assembly study;
- Management of BoMs and Part Data Management (PDM) system;
- Definition of control plan and methodology for part inspection;
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering;
- Experience with CAD/CAE engineering tools (NX, Solid Edge, Catia);
- Enthusiast in engineering and precision mechanics design;
- Knowledge of Office Automation;
- Knowledge of electronic fuel injection (EFI) systems (nice to have);
- Very good Italian and English knowledge.
