- The Procurement Manager is a Technical and Administrative professional belonging to the Purchasing Department providing all the technical and administrative competence and skills needed to purchase equipment, materials and services from an open market.

As projects are normally highly complex and normally require a high level of engineering, the purchasing activities will need a certain degree of technical competence in order to be able to understand the criticalities and to deal with vendors and subcontractors to define, check, negotiate and close Purchase Orders and Contracts.

The Procurement Manager reports to the Corporate Head of Purchasing.

**Explore your tasks and responsibilities**:

- The Procurement Manager has the responsibility to:

- Initiate, prepare and manage the Procurement Plan
- Select vendors together with engineering system owners and coordinate all procurement of components.
- Organize and manage competitive bids.
- Develop technical knowledge and competence in all different disciplines the Company is dealing with. Example of disciplines are: Civil, Structural and Architectural, Cleanroom, Mechanical, Electrical power, Process Systems Gases and Chemicals, Instrumentation and Controls, Fire protection, etc. The technical competences will be developed through the involvement in ongoing projects working with project engineering team, in dealing with the supply chain (technically and commercially) and in special trainings.
- Contact the supply chain to receive technical information, quotations and data.
- Explore and make available to the engineering team the latest market technical solutions, materials and equipment.
- Analyse and suggest implementation of new tools for procurement especially web based.

- Engineering / Economics degree
- Ability to negotiate best contractual conditions for the company
- Ability to work in team and to coordinate people not directly reporting to him/her
- Capability to organize the works and the data
