**Job Description Summary**: This role is part of the GE Aerospace Avio tax team that is responsible for advising the Avio business on all matters pertaining to tax across the globe, including tax audits, both internal and external, advising the business on the tax implications of new contracts, mergers and acquisitions as well as maintaining the necessary Tax compliance infrastructure in place.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Review existing & new business contracts to ensure there expected indirect tax compliance requirements have been / will be identified and managed appropriately, or, if not already in place, execute the appropriate planning to achieve the correct compliance structure.
- Support and/or coordinate external, tax authority indirect tax audits and support internal audits and external statutory audits
- Review all compliance processes to identify any opportunities for improvements and implement changes in VAT legislation into the day to day compliance processes.
- Review indirect tax returns prior to submission.
- Identify, support, and advise any projects from an indirect tax perspective, which includes ERP implementation, country compliance rule changes, utilization of the GE VAT reporting tools, optimization of VAT cash flow (including VAT refund claims)
- Identify key indirect tax risks in the business including systems, processes and documentations, address those risks and work on fixing them if required
- Develop in-depth indirect tax knowledge for multiply countries around the world

**Required Qualifications**:
**Required**
- Bachelor's Degree, Professional Accounting/VAT Qualifications
- Strong English language, accounting, analytical, presentation skills, strong process management skills
- Strong communications skills to address complex tax issues, opportunities
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and strict deadlines
- Capable of taking ownership and fixing issues
- Strong Indirect tax technical knowledge and practical judgment, permitting ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
- Understanding and experience in the use of data analytic and other Indirect Tax technology tools
- Ability to partner effectively with GE Aerospace tax team members, business management, controlling, and other finance personnel

**Advantages**

- Detailed expertise in indirect tax data analytic tools such as Alteryx etc
