The Private Fundraising and Partnerships Division (PFP) drives engagement with the private sector globally, supported by the BRIDGE Team, which develops fundraising publications, leads capacity building, and optimizes partnerships.

Job purpose: This Programme Specialist position within UNICEF PFP’s BRIDGE Team is crucial for enhancing fundraising and partnership outcomes. The role involves leading the development of strategic content, implementing capacity-building initiatives, and establishing knowledge management solutions. By integrating programme and partnership expertise, the specialist will contribute significantly to UNICEF’s efforts in securing high-value support and cultivating impactful private and public sector partnerships. The position requires a strategic thinker adept at creating compelling content and fostering strong relationships to advance UNICEF's mission for children worldwide.
Responsibilities: Lead the development and operationalization of fundraising and partnerships content, ensuring high-quality, visually appealing, and easily understandable publications for diverse audiences including businesses, philanthropists, governments, bilaterals, and foundations. This involves leveraging expert knowledge of UNICEF programmes and fundraising strategies. Spearhead capacity-building efforts for UNICEF colleagues and teams, focusing on programmes and their intersection with fundraising. This includes designing and delivering training content that enhances understanding and application of fundraising principles and programme knowledge. Contribute to the optimization of partnership systems and provide enablement support to the team. This involves analyzing existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in partnership management. Support the application of Rights and Results Programming through quality reporting and programme visits, ensuring that partnerships align with UNICEF’s strategic objectives and contribute to measurable outcomes for children.
Education: An advanced university degree in communications, social sciences, marketing, public relations, business administration, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree with two additional years of relevant experience may be accepted as an alternative.
Work experience: A minimum of five years of progressive professional experience in private and public sector engagement/fundraising is required, with at least two years in development programming. xbvzest Demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, developing capacity-building initiatives, and conceptualizing fundraising content is essential.
