We are looking for a Marine Safety Superintendent with experience in the tanker sector (oil/chemical and or gas).

The successful candidate will work closely with the Technical Department and onboard personnel to ensure compliance with international and company standards.
Key responsabilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with international maritime safety regulations (ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL).
- Coordinate safety activities on board, supporting Masters and crew members.
- Conduct internal audit, inspections, and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Collaborate with technical and operational departments to promote a strong safety culture.
- Manage reporting and emergency plans, ensuring high operational standards.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions for the crew on safety and prevention.
- Investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-conformities, developing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support the preparation and management of inspections carried out by maritime authorities and classification societies.
- Contribute to the development and updating of onboard procedures and safety manuals. xbvzest
- ISPS implementation
Requirements:
- Experience as Master or C/O on oil/chemical or gas tankers
- Experience in Safety roles ashore
- In-depth knowledge of:
1. ISM Code
2. MARPOL / SOLAS
3. ISGOTT
4. SIRE and/or CDI processes
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage non-conformities
- Familiarity with TMSA
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel and attend onboard visits
- Working Permit in EU country
- Relevant HSE certifications (ISM Internal Auditor, DPA, CSO)
