We are looking for an experienced
Mechanical Erection & Commissioning Supervisor
for an industrial project at a cement plant in Calusco, Italy, on behalf of our client.
The project involves the installation and commissioning of a new Alternative Fuels (AF) storage, extraction, dosing and conveying system.
The successful candidate will represent the client on-site and ensure that all mechanical installation and commissioning activities are carried out safely, efficiently and according to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise mechanical erection, installation and commissioning activities.
Coordinate mechanical contractors, suppliers and site personnel.
Monitor installation quality, progress and compliance with project specifications.
Supervise installation of conveyors, storage systems, feeders, piping and steel structures.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and Italian regulations.
Support mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, commissioning and handover.
Report progress, technical issues and potential delays to project management.
Mandatory Requirements
Proven experience from the cement industry is essential.
Fluent Italian – must be able to speak, understand and communicate effectively in Italian.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Minimum 8 years of relevant industrial experience, including at least 5 years in mechanical erection supervision.
Experience with mechanical installation and commissioning in cement plants.
Strong technical knowledge of conveyors, bulk material handling systems, rotating equipment and mechanical installations.
Experience supervising contractors on large industrial construction sites.
Strong understanding of site safety and quality requirements.
