We are looking for a Cost Consultant / Quantity Surveyor (or experienced Computista / Preventivista) to join our team in Milan.

In the Italian market, this role is tailored for professionals skilled in computo metrico estimativo, quantity take-offs, and cost management for Hospitality, Data Center, Logistics, and Residential projects. You will manage project financial planning and control from initial design to final completion.

Location: Milan, Italy (full-time)

Core Responsibilities:
  • Quantity Take-Off & Estimation: Extract precise quantities directly from CAD (DWG) and BIM/Revit models to build accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs / Computi Metrici Estimativi).
  • Cost Estimation & Design Phase: Perform detailed cost analyses for labor and materials during preliminary and final design stages.
  • Local Market & Pricing Tools: Apply regional price lists (Prezzari Regionali), DEI, market offers, and detailed price analyses.
  • Tender & Procurement Strategy: Prepare tender documentation, evaluate contractor bids, lead tender analysis, and advise on contract strategies.
  • Post-Contract & Cost Control: Review SAL (Stato Avanzamento Lavori), variations, financial forecasts, order changes, and process contractor payment approvals.
  • Contract & Client Management: Negotiate and manage contracts, resolve cost-related disputes, and liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure strict budget control.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Languages: Native or fluent Italian (essential for local site management, pricing software, contracts, and supplier negotiations) + Excellent written/spoken English.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of technical experience in quantity takeoff, pricing, and cost management in Italy (civil, structural, and architectural works).
Technical Software Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (DWG) and Revit/BIM for quantity extraction.
  • Experience with estimating softwares (e.g., CostX, Primus, STR Vision CPM, or similar) and advanced Excel.
Market Knowledge:
  • Direct experience with Italian price databases (DEI, Prezzari Regionali), local contractors, suppliers, and post-contract accounting (gestione SAL e varianti).
  • Education: Degree in Building/Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent (experienced Geometri with strong technical expertise are highly encouraged to apply). xbvzest
