You design and ship production AI on SAP landscapes, shaping real business outcomes with governance. You own architecture and delivery, from concept to production. - Design and ship production AI on SAP BTP, including agents, retrieval systems, and embedded intelligence
- Build custom agents and extend Joule Studio capabilities
- Implement retrieval-augmented generation over enterprise data using HANA Cloud, Datasphere/Business Data Cloud, and Knowledge Graph grounding
- Develop application and integration layers (CAP services, OData APIs, SAP Integration Suite flows)
- Own model selection, prompt design, evaluation, and cost/latency trade-offs
- Establish evaluation harnesses, observability, and guardrails for measurable agent behavior
- Operate within clean-core and ABAP Cloud constraints, advocating appropriate extension patterns
- Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to translate pain points into scoped use cases
- Mentor engineers to improve code quality, testing, and delivery practices
- 5+ years building production software, with 2+ years shipping AI/ML or LLM-based systems used by real users
- Hands-on SAP BTP experience, including AI Core, Generative AI Hub, CAP, HANA Cloud, and understanding S/4HANA data/processes
- Strong Python, plus JavaScript/TypeScript for CAP and Node-based services
- Practical RAG and agent engineering: chunking, retrieval strategy, tool/function calling, orchestration, and production failure awareness
- Solid grasp of enterprise constraints: authorizations, data residency, auditability, and PII handling
- Ability to explain technical decisions to customers or business stakeholders without jargon
- Fluent English; German is a plus
