JOB PURPOSE

The candidate will lead the Procurement team and will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the procurement function, ensuring high standards of quality, cost efficiency, supplier performance, and supply chain continuity.


The role involves strong cross-functional coordination with Operations, Production, Retail, Marketing, Finance, and other key stakeholders in order to support business needs, new product development, seasonal initiatives, and strategic projects.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement & Category Management

Define and implement procurement strategies in line with business objectives


Oversee the management and development of multiple procurement categories, ensuring quality, competitiveness, innovation, and supply continuity


Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities


Support the development and launch of new products, seasonal items, and strategic projects


Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes and ways of working


Supplier Management & Strategic Sourcing

Identify, select, qualify, and develop local and international suppliers


Lead commercial negotiations, tenders, and purchasing conditions


Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships and long-term partnerships


Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery times, and service levels


Identify and mitigate supply risks to ensure business continuity


Cost & Budget Management

Monitor and analyze purchasing costs and overall procurement spend


Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency opportunities


Support the definition and management of procurement budgets and forecasts


Monitor category performance and contribute to margin improvement initiatives


Ensure purchasing decisions are aligned with financial and business targets


Planning & Supply Chain

Coordinate procurement planning and ensure appropriate stock levels and product availability


Monitor demand and purchasing requirements in collaboration with Operations, Production, and Retail


Monitor supply criticalities and coordinate corrective actions


Support the optimization of purchasing and supply chain processes


Reporting & Projects

Monitor procurement data, supplier information, and category KPIs


Prepare reports on costs, savings, supplier performance, and procurement performance


Lead and support strategic procurement projects, including new openings, new concepts, process optimization, and product development


Provide procurement insights and recommendations to senior management


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

10–15 years of experience in Procurement / Purchasing / Strategic Sourcing roles


Strong previous experience in the Food & Beverage sector, preferably within retail, hospitality, luxury, or organized food service environments


Proven experience in managing multiple categories, strategic suppliers, and complex procurement activities


Previous experience in managing or sourcing food packaging, including food-contact packaging, is required


Strong strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management skills


Proven experience in cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and procurement performance management


Strong understanding of food supply chains, purchasing planning, and inventory management


Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Excel / ERP systems


Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills


Strong organizational and communication skills


Structured approach to problem solving and ability to manage priorities


Ability to lead and develop a team and work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
