This opportunity is for a Critical Facilities Technician to support the day-to-day operation of a mission-critical data center. The role focuses on maintaining electrical, mechanical, cooling, and monitoring systems, performing maintenance, responding to incidents, and ensuring the reliable operation of critical infrastructure within a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and corrective maintenance across critical electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Monitor infrastructure systems using BMS, EPMS, and SCADA platforms.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and equipment failures, carrying out troubleshooting and escalation where required.
  • Support operation and maintenance of:

    • Switchgear
    • UPS systems
    • Generators
    • HVAC and cooling infrastructure


  • Conduct routine inspections and operational checks across the facility.
  • Support incident management and root-cause analysis activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, operational standards, and site processes.
  • Work closely with vendors, subcontractors, and internal operations teams.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and operational documentation.
  • Participate in on-call and shift-based support within a 24/7 environment.

Skills / Must have

  • Experience within data centers, critical facilities, industrial, or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of:

    • Electrical distribution systems
    • UPS systems and backup power
    • Generators and switchgear
    • HVAC / CRAC / cooling systems


  • Experience using BMS / EPMS / SCADA monitoring systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
  • Understanding of operational procedures, safety standards, and escalation processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced 24/7 operational environment. xbvzest
