Emergency Telecommunications Public Safety Dispatcher

(Part time per diem Position)

Salary: $28.16 per hour

The City of Attleboro seeks a part time per diem public safety dispatcher to receive, transmit and disseminate both routine and emergency communications utilizing the telephone, radio and E-911 systems. Also uses various fire department software to document incidents.

Position requires knowledge of City locations and High school diploma or GED.

• 
  
• Two years’ experience in communication equipment and basic knowledge of computer software operations.
  
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  
• Must be able to operate computer, telephone and other communications equipment.
  
• Must be able to remain calm and professional in emergency situations.
  
• A criminal records background check will be performed on all applicants.

• Prior emergency dispatching experience and/or certification as an E-911 telecommunicator preferred.
