The Communications Manager, Surgery, EMEA role will be a key member of a dedicated Surgery BU CPA team to help execute an integrated communications strategy across EMEA. This role will suit an early career communicator who can focus on growth priorities within the region, supporting innovation milestones, strengthening reputation, and engaging key stakeholders across priority markets – using a mix of external, media, internal and digital communications channels to reach key audiences.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute EMEA communications strategy for the Surgery BU in EMEA, aligned to growth priorities and key milestones.
The role will work across all platforms and initiatives in the BU.Serve as a communications partner on key business communication initiatives, helping to translate business priorities into clear, compelling campaignsExecute integrated communications across media, executive, internal, and digital channels, in partnership with other member of the Surgery EMEA Communications & Public Affairs teamResponsible for owning channel management (HOME, DLs, newsletter development etc…) connected to Communications initiatives.Partner across region and functions (e.g.
Legal, Regulatory, Government Affairs and global Media Relations) to align communications activity and approvalsWork closely with local external agency and freelance relationships to maximize impact and delivery of campaignsUse data and insights to continuously improve effectiveness and fully leverage global reports to accelerate execution and learningsWays of workingOperate effectively in a matrixed environment, partnering across business, functional, and regional teamsBuild strong relationships with leaders, Marketing and sources of content for Communications campaignsContribute to a strong, inclusive team cultureQualificationsBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferredWould suit up and coming communications professional with 3+ years of experience in communications, corporate affairs, or public affairs to combine knowhow with delivery.Demonstrated experience supporting commercial businesses, preferably in healthcare, medtech, or regulated industriesDeep knowledge of EMEA region and specific nuancesStrong writing, storytelling, and communication skillsStrong IT familiarity and willingness to learn new systems (story posting, distribution channels etc…)Required Skills: External Communication, Internal Communications, Project Communications, Stakeholder ManagementPreferred Skills:Agile Decision Making, Branding, Brand Reputation Management, Business Communications, Communications Measurement, Corporate Communications Strategy, Corporate Management, Cultural Communications, Developing Others, Employer Branding, Expectation Management, Inclusive Leadership, Influencer Knowledge, Integrated Marketing Communications, Leadership, Relationship Building, Risk Assessments, Stakeholder Engagement, Team ManagementThe anticipated base pay range for this position is:79,800.00
