Overview

In this role you will drive procurement and sourcing for diverse projects, balancing supplier relations, cost targets, and on-time delivery. You will collaborate with R&D, Strategic Buyers, and Project teams to manage RFQs, supplier selection, and BOM costing while supporting AI-enabled improvements in procurement processes. The position combines operational purchasing with project-focused sourcing, requiring strong ERP and data analysis skills in a matrix organization. This is a hands-on opportunity to impact production materials, logistics, and supplier performance within a global manufacturing context.

Responsabilità
  • Process purchase requisitions and orders, including expediting and issue resolution with suppliers
  • Manage supplier communications on demand, volumes, delivery times, and cost reduction
  • Execute purchasing per category management principles and support invoice verification
  • Coordinate material shipments, manage price lists, and monitor on-time delivery KPIs
  • Utilize MRP and other systems to determine material requirements for production and spare parts
  • Support AI implementation across procurement processes
  • Manage RFQs and supplier selection aligning with strategy
  • Support project sourcing activities and cost targets throughout the project lifecycle
  • Act as procurement point of contact for project stakeholders and ensure input capture throughout projects
  • Partner with logistics to track transport risks, costs, and lead times
  • Maintain local master data for raw materials/vendors
  • Provide feedback on requisitions outside framework agreements
  • Develop supplier base and identify new suppliers
  • Provide sourcing support for both direct and indirect scope
Requisiti fondamentali
  • Experience in operational procurement roles
  • Strong teamwork ability in demanding environments
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Cost and data analysis skills
  • Experience with AI tool implementation is welcome
  • Exposure to manufacturing and/or service operations
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Financial and business understanding
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
  • Problem-solving and accountability for outcomes
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Availability for short business trips
  • Shipping, customs clearance and logistics knowledge is welcome
