VIE - Junior Buyer (m/f)

In this role you will apply sourcing and supplier-management expertise to support Trackside commodities, with a focus on the EOLANE project. You will collaborate with project teams, sourcing representatives and commodity managers to align with QCD targets. You’ll manage supplier relationships, prepare RFQs, and contribute to commodity strategy and tender activities. This is a cross-functional, hands-on position in a global rail leader, offering growth through exposure to large-scale transport projects and ethical procurement practices.

• Identify project and business needs for procurement
• Prepare and launch RFQs with Italian and LLCC suppliers using standard tools
• Negotiate cost reductions with suppliers
• Input provider/contributor for order placement
• Ensure QCD targets and CONQ management
• Lead supplier QCD performance reviews
• Resolve initial issues before escalation
• Support on-site commodity needs and tender phases
• Represent commodities to projects, platforms and solutions
• Apply Alstom sourcing processes and share lessons learned

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Experience or understanding of sourcing and supplier relationship management
• Knowledge of Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) principles
• Familiarity with SAP and advanced Excel skills
• A procurement or supply chain management certification is a plus
• Fluency in French and English
• Basic Italian knowledge
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage stress
