We're recruiting for 2 Quantity Surveyors to join one of Europe's leading data centre contractors on a major hyperscale data centre project in Milan.
We're looking for:M&E Quantity SurveyorCSA Quantity SurveyorThis is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading contractor delivering some of Europe's largest mission-critical data centre projects. You'll play a key role in the commercial management of the project, overseeing procurement, subcontractor packages, cost control and client relationships from project award through to final account.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll take ownership of multiple subcontract packages while working closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Director and site teams to ensure commercial success throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a senior commercial role requiring strong contractual knowledge, commercial awareness and experience working for a main contractor on large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage subcontract procurement from tender through to award.
Prepare tender packages and analyse subcontractor returns.
Negotiate subcontract agreements and attend pre-let meetings.
Manage subcontract packages through to final account.
Prepare monthly cost reports and end-of-project forecasts.
Produce valuations, payment applications and cost reporting.
Manage client and subcontractor communications.
Assess and manage commercial risks and variations.
Prepare and negotiate claims and final accounts.
Measure work packages from drawings and prepare pricing.
Attend commercial and subcontractor meetings.
Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project procedures.
Requirements7+ years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
Experience working for a Main Contractor or General Contractor is essential.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
Experience managing complex subcontract packages.
Strong understanding of procurement, contracts and cost management.
Excellent commercial, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Data Centre experience is advantageous but not essential.
M&E or CSA project experience depending on discipline.
