RESPONSABILITIES

We are currently looking for a
Technical Standards and Scale-Up Specialist
for the Technology Transfer Department in
Cosmint SPA
.

The person will be in charge of:

• Technical assessment for the feasibility of a formulation production method, identifying the most suitable plant and batch size and related critical issues;
• Preparing the Scale-Up plan for a formulation, defining the steps necessary to obtain a product that complies with specifications through a reproducible and safe production method;
• Creating and maintaining master data for raw materials/bulk products/specifications within the management system and managing the change control process to ensure the continuous receipt and updating of documentation from customers.

ACTIVITIES

• Reviewing production methods received from the R&D department and evaluating their feasibility on industrial plants;
• Contributing to the product quotation process by providing technical information and production timelines related to the mixing of large quantities;
• Discussing possible changes to the production process with the R&D/Pilot department or with the customer in order to optimize the production phases or adapt them to the available technologies;
• Reporting any investments necessary for new technologies or in order to comply with safety regulations;
• Participating in project meetings with the various internal departments and with the customer to ensure that product development timelines are met and to highlight any critical issues identified;
• Drawing up the production method (flow chart) for each formula to be produced;
• Following and monitoring the different steps of the scale-up batches working with the production, QC, and R&D departments, recording the process parameters and any changes from the initial conditions. Once done, collecting all the data, writing up reports in Italian and English to share internally and/or with the client, and updating the flowchart with the final production conditions;
• Ensuring the data entry of raw materials and bulk records, based on the documentation provided by the customer;
• Ensuring change control of documentation through accessing share points or the notification systems of various customers.

EDUCATION LEVEL

• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering;
• Good knowledge of English (mainly written);
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Availability for flexible working hours during production trials;
• Availability for short business trips;
• Previous experience in similar roles (industrialization, pilot, ..), preferably in the beauty or pharmaceutical field, will be considered as a plus.
