Position Overview: The Manoogian Simone College of Business and Economics invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Economics, preferably with a focus in Microeconomics. We seek a dedicated individual who will contribute to our vibrant academic community through teaching, mentoring, and innovative research. This position provides an opportunity to engage with students and collaborate with scholars locally and globally to advance knowledge in the field of Economics. The College now offers a Master of Science in Economics degree and, as part of its continued growth, the College will be welcoming its first cohort of Bachelor of Science students in Economics in fall 2025, expanding our academic offerings and providing new opportunities for faculty to engage in both graduate and undergraduate level instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver lectures
  • Conduct cutting-edge research and publish findings in reputable journals
  • Develop teaching plans and prepare content for courses
  • Develop new courses for the curriculum
  • Collaborate with faculty and students on innovative projects, leveraging local and international networks
  • Participate actively in Program, College, and University committees and contribute to program development and strategic planning
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Serve on academic committees
  • Mentor students in their academic and research pursuits, including capstone projects and independent studies
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Program Chair(s) and/or Dean

Teaching Overview: Foster an inclusive, student-centered classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking. Develop and deliver engaging curriculum for undergraduate and graduate courses in Economics, preferably with a focus in Microeconomics, as well as in a wider range of adjacent fields in Business/Management.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Economics
  • Demonstrated research agenda
  • Prior teaching experience at the university level is highly preferred
  • Strong pedagogical skills with a commitment to innovative, student-centered, effective teaching methods
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom and curriculum design
