The Baker Hughes Internship is designed to enable students either pursuing a Bachelors' or Masters' degree or recently graduated to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. You'll participate in focused training, and team meetings, work on projects, and present your results. During your internship, you will be supported by a buddy and your manager who will ensure you have a valuable learning experience. You can expect to receive coaching and mentoring to enable you to complete assignments and projects to develop your learning and skillset.

As an Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing organizational contract development and management activities.

• Managing the Variation Order Process with internal customers and suppliers.

• Developing standards for contracts, including presentation of budgets, payment terms, general language and provisions, and supporting purchase order issuance.

• Ensuring that contracts and proposals are properly entered into organizational databases and securely maintained.

• Serving as the primary organizational contact during contract negotiations.

• Assuring the accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments.

• Staying informed about changes to relevant rules and regulations.

• Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country

• A degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in a legal or business-related field

• Ability to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction

• Knowledge of contractual terms and negotiating practices

• Conscientiousness and self-motivation, with the ability to work on your own initiative

• High attention to detail and the ability to be rigorously analytical

• Technical, legal, or commercial knowledge, gained either practically and/or through a degree

• Enthusiasm and the ability to represent the company positively at all times

• Strong negotiating and persuasive skills, both in one-on-one and group situations

• Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the Outlook application

• Experience in the Oil & Gas sector (tier one) is useful but not essential
