Job Description

Purpose of the role

The Outbound Marketing Manager will play a key role in developing and executing outbound marketing strategies to drive lead generation and sales for our B2B fuel card solutions. You will be responsible for creating messages, choosing appropriate marketing channels and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise campaign performance. They will leverage data and stay on top of trends to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of all outbound initiatives.

  •  This role requires strong skills in geomarketing, territory-based marketing and geographic analysis, essential to supporting fuel card expansion.
  •  The ideal profile combines strategic vision and hands-on execution, with the commercial acumen to identify decision makers and generate funnel-appropriate content.
  •  The role collaborates closely with Sales and contributes to sales enablement initiatives.
  • The candidate will analyse product fit, evaluate value proposition performance and support continuous improvement of the offering.
  •  They will assess the quality and structure of the prospect universe, helping identify data gaps and segmentation priorities.
  •  The role reports to the Head of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

Strategy development and execution

  • Lead the creation and execution of targeted outbound marketing campaigns aimed at raising awareness, generating leads and driving sales for our B2B fuel card products.
  • Develop marketing strategies that align with overall business objectives and address specific needs within the B2B fleet and logistics sectors.
  • Integrate geo-territorial analysis to identify priority areas and geographically-driven commercial opportunities.

Messaging and value proposition:

  • Create compelling messaging that clearly communicates the value proposition of our fuel card products, tailored to the unique pain points of fleet operators, transport companies and logistics businesses.
  • Develop compelling content for emails, advertisements, landing pages, and direct mail to effectively engage the target audience and position the product as a solution.
  •  Support the evolution of value propositions through competitive analysis and product performance insights.

Channel strategy:

  • Identify and implement the most effective outbound marketing channels (e.g., email, cold calling, social media, direct mail) to reach key decision-makers in target industries.
  • Optimise multi-channel campaigns to ensure maximum reach and engagement, adjusting strategies based on channel performance.
  • Use territorial insights to optimise channel mix and regional penetration.

Performance measurement and optimisation:

  • Track, analyse, and report on the performance of all outbound campaigns, using data to refine strategies and improve lead generation and conversion rates.
  • Conduct A/B testing, review campaign KPIs (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates), and optimise ROI.

Team collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales, creative and technology teams to ensure seamless execution of outbound marketing campaigns and alignment on messaging, content and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the product team to stay up to date on new features and offerings, ensuring that marketing materials reflect the latest product updates.
  •  Support Sales through sales enablement materials, tools and geo-targeted content.

Data analysis and insights:

  • Use data analysis to understand customer behaviour, pain points and market trends, leveraging insights to refine and optimise outbound marketing strategies.
  • Build and maintain customer personas to ensure marketing efforts are highly targeted and relevant.
  • Analyse prospect universe quality and contribute to data enhancement initiatives.

Innovation and trend monitoring:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advances, and outbound marketing best practices, continually exploring innovative strategies to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, or platforms that can enhance outbound marketing activities and achieve better results;
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Over 5 years of experience in outbound marketing, preferably in a B2B context.
  • Strong understanding of the B2B sales cycle and ability to develop strategies to nurture leads.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decision-making and optimisation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for technical and business-oriented audiences.
  • A results-oriented mindset, with a proven track record of improving lead generation and campaign performance.
  • Experience or sensitivity to geomarketing and territory analysis.
  • Ability to evaluate value propositions, product fit and pricing.
  •  Familiarity with prospect datasets and data quality principles.
  • Preferred background in transportation, mobility, logistics, automotive, energy or construction sectors.
