Tyvak International is seeking talented new team members to support the development of advanced space vehicles. Tyvak specializes in the development and integration of key components and technologies into highly integrated, high-performance nano-satellite platforms. The team's expertise spans system architecture, design, manufacturing, and testing of mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems for small spacecraft.

We are currently looking for a motivated Space Product Assurance / Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Product and Quality Assurance team. This collaborative group is responsible for delivering innovative nano-satellite solutions across multiple projects while ensuring the highest quality standards for spacecraft development.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing Product Assurance activities throughout the entire program lifecycle, from design and development through launch and in-orbit operations. You will work closely with technical teams, Program Managers, institutional and commercial customers, and external suppliers. The position requires operating in a fast-paced environment, supporting both ongoing programs and proposal activities.

Specific tasks may include:

  • Support and oversight of spacecraft Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) activities
  • Participation in customer and internal project reviews (PDR, CDR, QAR,etc.)
  • Definition, preparation, and management of Key and Mandatory Inspection Points (KIP/MIP) throughout AIT activities
  • Preparation, implementation, and maintenance of Product and Quality Assurance policies, processes, and procedures
  • Tailoring of ECSS-Q standards in accordance with mission-specific objectives and requirements
  • Oversight of Product Assurance process implementation across program activities, including internal audits
  • Management of non-conformances, deviations, waivers, critical items, and generation and maintenance of quality records
  • Preparation of PA/QA documentation for program milestones and reviews (Declared Lists, Nonconformance Reports, Mission-Specific PA Plans, FMEA, Safety Data Packages, etc.)
  • Continuous improvement of design, assembly, integration, and quality processes
  • Support the selection, evaluation, and control of external providers and suppliers, including the definition of Mechanical Parts, Materials, Processes, and Components (MPMPC) control in compliance with applicable project standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, multidisciplinary team environment, collaborating closely with hardware, software, mechanical, and systems engineers to ensure efficient and effective processes
  • Additional quality-related duties may be assigned as required
Requirements:
  • 1–5 years of experience as a Product Assurance or Quality Engineer/Officer, or in an equivalent role
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Management Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, or engineering industries, particularly in the design and management of Quality Management Systems
  • Knowledge of ECSS-Q standards and international quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS/EN 9100 is considered a plus
  • Familiarity with spacecraft and/or launch vehicle systems; experience with small satellites or CubeSats is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of standard industrial quality control tools and/or familiarity with the Atlassian suite is a plus
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Analytical mindset, critical thinking skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform effectively under pressure
  • Availability for short national and/or international travel
  • Flexibility, ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple activities simultaneously
