FP&A Analyst (Functional & Technical – Commercial Sector Focus)

Overview
We are seeking a highly capable FP&A Analyst who brings both functional depth and technical agility to the table. This role will support high-impact client engagements, particularly in the commercial sector space, while contributing to our broader digital transformation consulting initiatives.

You will collaborate with senior consultants and clients to optimize FP&A workflows, support financial systems implementation (e.g., Anaplan, Pigment), and drive strategic alignment across finance functions. Ideal candidates will be fluent in the language of finance and analytics, with hands-on experience in both process design and technical systems support.

Key Responsibilities
FP&A Process Design & Optimization
Assess and redesign clients' budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to improve clarity, efficiency, and scalability.
Lead or support workflow reengineering initiatives to optimize planning cycles and reporting cadence.
Align finance processes across business units, ensuring consistency and actionable insights.

Technology Implementation Support
Act as a functional subject matter expert (SME) for FP&A solution implementations (e.g., Anaplan, Pigment, Adaptive Insights).
Translate business requirements into technical specifications/user stories.
Partner with IT and solution architects to support system configuration, data migration, and integration.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Enablement
Engage directly with client finance teams, IT stakeholders, and senior leadership.
Conduct trainings and knowledge transfer sessions for new tools and processes.
Build trusted relationships that foster adoption and long-term value.

Agile Delivery & Cross-Functional Work
Participate in Agile project teams, including ceremonies like standups, retrospectives, and sprint planning.
Collaborate with consultants, developers, and project managers to ensure on-time, iterative delivery.
Identify and communicate project risks, blockers, and areas for improvement.

Reporting & Data Strategy
Support accurate, timely data collection and validation for all planning and forecasting cycles.
Contribute to ad hoc reporting, scenario modeling, and board-level presentations.
Provide insights for decision-making through a combination of financial analysis and system data visibility.

Future Pipeline & Growth Contribution
Remain agile to support clients in both the public/nonprofit and commercial sectors.
Contribute to future project phases, including data architecture, advanced analytics, and FP&A operating model design.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
3–7+ years of progressive FP&A experience, with a strong emphasis on process improvement and stakeholder engagement.
Prior experience in NGO or public sector FP&A settings (preferred), or strong commercial FP&A exposure.
Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting cycles.
Familiarity with modern FP&A systems such as Anaplan, Pigment, TM1, Adaptive Insights, or similar.
Ability to translate functional needs into clear system requirements.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; data manipulation and scenario analysis proficiency.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams.
Consulting or client-facing experience a strong plus.

Desired (Bonus) Qualifications
Certifications in finance (e.g., CFA, CPA, CIMA) or FP&A systems (e.g., Anaplan Model Builder).
Knowledge of ERP systems and finance data integrations.
Experience in Agile/Scrum project delivery environments.
Background in solution architecture, data architecture, or transformation programs.
Experience mentoring junior analysts or end-user training.

Working Arrangements
Must be self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
Willingness to align with global project timelines and participate in virtual meetings as needed.

What We Offer
Work on strategic consulting projects across nonprofit, public, and commercial sectors.
Exposure to modern FP&A tools and digital transformation initiatives.
Career path toward specialized functional, technical, or leadership roles.
Collaborative, values-driven culture focused on quality, impact, and continuous learning.
