Senior DevOps Engineer

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (Contractor) in Latin America.

In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices for multiple high-impact environments. You will work remotely across Latin America, collaborating with global teams while balancing hands-on execution and architectural strategy. Your work will influence infrastructure reliability, performance, and scalability, while ensuring cost-effective operations. This position offers exposure to modern cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes/EKS orchestration, and observability practices. You will drive technical solutions, support multi-client operations, and contribute to improving infrastructure standards across portfolio companies. Flexibility, collaboration, and a proactive approach will be essential to succeed in this fast-paced environment.

• Accountabilities
• Design and implement cloud infrastructure strategies across AWS and Azure, making hands-on architecture decisions.
• Translate business requirements into scalable infrastructure roadmaps and present solutions to executives.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
• Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, ECS migrations, and related tooling.
• Implement monitoring and observability frameworks using Datadog, Grafana, or Akamai CDN.
• Participate in incident management, 24/7 production operations, and performance tuning.
• Coordinate with distributed teams across different time zones to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Requirements
• 5+ years of DevOps experience with AWS, including hands-on Terraform expertise.
• Strong skills in Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, ECS migrations, and cloud-native architectures.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Scripting experience in Python or Go for automation purposes.
• Familiarity with Azure, CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Helm, and advanced EKS scaling.
• Previous experience in consulting or multi-client environments is highly valued.
• Fluent English for client-facing collaboration and asynchronous team coordination.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
