PGS Group has been active in the wood packaging industry for 30 years. Due to further expansion we are looking for an Electromechanic.

What tasks will you perform?

  • Responsible for independently performing both preventive and corrective maintenance (both mechanical and limited electrical) for the entire machinery of each site.
  • Quickly and efficiently detect and remedy technical malfunctions.
  • Ensuring that all work complies with applicable safety and quality regulations.
  • Preventing machine downtime, and quickly and efficiently resolving malfunctions in the event of possible downtime.
  • Maintaining maintenance and breakdown reports to gain insight into machine usage and detect potential areas for improvement.
  • Supporting the installation and start-up of new machines and equipment, including adjustment and testing of operation.
  • Checking the stock of parts, materials and passing on orders in a timely manner if necessary. Alertness to critical components.
  • Provide technical support to, and cooperation with, operators to ensure the proper use and basic maintenance of machinery.
  • Tracking technical innovations and implementing improvements in maintenance processes, if necessary.
  • Provide a safe working environment.
  • Offers support to and contributes to the sustainable business values of the organization.

Who are we looking for?

  • Minimum a graduate degree in a technical direction or equivalent by experience.
  • Extensive experience in industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Certificate of forklift driving, or willingness to become proficient during employment.
  • Aerial work platform certificate, or willingness to become proficient during employment.
  • You are hands-on and you ensure optimal use of time.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Works smoothly with colleagues, shares knowledge and experience and is communicative.
  • Has a broad technical knowledge and is willing to learn.
  • Has a strong understanding of engineering principles in mechanics and automation to be able to perform maintenance work.
  • Can quickly and accurately analyze and apply/implement solutions for malfunctions, so that machines and installations are quickly back to optimal operation.
  • Is preferably enterprising and proactive, can work well independently and needs little direction to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Has a flexible attitude and is decisive, is able to deal quickly and decisively with unexpected circumstances or setbacks.
  • Safety- and quality-conscious, result-oriented are personal drivers.
  • Not only propagates the sustainable business values of the organization in the performance of the job, but also actively applies them in the roll-out of the process and any negotiations that lead to optimizations.
